I am trying out some dumbells, do you think 15 pounds is the right amount for a 135 pound 17 year old male just starting out lifting weights?

maybe 5, or even 10

remember, its better and healther to lift 5 pounds 1000 times, rather than lift 1000lb, 5 times (figure of speech)
